An extruder is used to process materials, usually plastics, to form them into continuous profiles or shapes. This process is called extrusion. An extruder works by pushing raw plastic or other material through heated tubes or dies. During this process, the material is softened and molded into the desired shape, then cooled to retain its new shape.
